terms of use
The short version: keep your own memories, share them with people you choose, and treat those people well. Last updated 24 September 2026.
who can use echoes
You need to be at least 13, or older if the law where you live says so. One account per person, and you're responsible for what happens on yours. By creating an account or signing in, you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy.
your echoes are yours
You own what you save: the songs you pin, your places, notes and photos. You give Melomaniac Studios permission to store and process them only to run echoes, and to show them only to the people you choose. Delete an echo, or your whole account, and it's gone.
what isn't allowed
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive people. Don't use echoesto post or send: harassment, bullying or hate; threats or violence; nudity or sexual content; anything that sexualises a minor (we report it to the authorities); spam or scams; someone else's private information; photos or words you don't have the right to share; or anything illegal. Don't pretend to be someone else.
how we enforce it
You can report any echo or person from the ⋯ on their post or profile, and block anyone at any time. We look at every report within 24 hours. When something breaks these rules we remove it, and we suspend or delete the account that posted it, without warning when it's serious.
music
Song names, album art and previews come from Apple and Spotify and belong to their owners. echoesnames songs and links to them; it doesn't sell or stream full tracks. Connecting Spotify is optional, and Spotify's own terms apply to it.
the app
echoesis provided as it is, and it will change as we build it. We do our best to keep it running and your echoes safe, but we can't promise it will always be available, and we aren't liable for losses beyond what the law requires. If you got echoesfrom the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement applies too.
governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about them or about echoes goes to the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it where you live.
changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect.
